What to do in Venice with children? Decorate your own Venetian masks!

Duration: 1 hour.
Blank Venetian masks to paint: choose one out of over 60 different models, all handmade from real paper mache.

Included in the price: for each individual or group we offer a free copy of our book "Venetian Masks". The book is available in English, French, German, and Italian.

Creating Venetian masks is a unique experience. Choose your model, follow the instructions of a professional, dry the mask in a few minutes, complete your own paper mache Venetian mask in just 1.5 hours.

COMBO Course
Duration: 2.5 hours (1.5 + 1, also not consecutive)

Includes: mask construction in papier-mâché, decoration of your own mask with different techniques

Experience the craft of the mask-maker for a day! With the Combo course, you can create your own papier-mâché mask from the mold like a real craftsman and decorate it at will using professional techniques. For an even more complete experience, included in the price, you will receive a book on the history and culture of masks in Venice.
Learn how to decorate Venetian masks - Families and small groups

Duration: 2 hours
Course languages: English, French, Russian, Italian
Number of participants (maximum): 12 people.
Number of blank masks to decorate: 2 per participant chosen from over 60 different styles.
Decorative techniques used: 12 different techniques.
Additional materials used: feathers, rhinestones, trimmings, glitter, and more.


Objectives:

  • explain and describe the time-honored techniques used in how to make Venetian masks
  • discuss the meaning of Venetian masks over the past centuries
  • learn how to paint Venetian masks using different techniques

To learn how to decorate a plain mask in this private course a non-refundable deposit of 50,00 Euros is required. We do not accept debit or credit cards for the payment of the balance.
