PALAZZO GRASSI

This palace has a much less fascinating history than Ca' Rezzonico, and any interesting information there may have been on it was unfortunately lost along with the archives of the Grassi family who built it in 1772. This does not mean it is a minor building; on the contrary, it is one of the most beautiful on the Grand Canal. It is now owned by the Fiat group, which has injected its own entrepreneurial mentality into what was already an exhibition venue, transforming it into a highly efficient and flexible exhibition machine with exemplary technology. Watch out for the entrance queues, though: it hosts exhibitions that attract people from all over the world.
